Last time I write this post, fourth time I write it and always something happens and everything disappears!!! I want to show you the things I have made lately that I’ve been away.

A beautiful dress made of Shot Cotton from Kaffe Fassett. First time I put a zipper on.
Un vestido bello hecho con Shot Cotton de Kaffe Fassett. Primer vez que pongo un zipper.
This top I made out of Lotta Jansdotter from her collection Echo. The pattern is mine but I think I had to add some darts on the sides of the bust. Esta blusa la hice con la tela de Lotta Jansdotter y su colección Echo. El patrón es mío pero creo que tendría que haberlo agregado unas pinzas en los lados del busto.
This Second top I made out of Alexander Henry “Zócalo”. I saw it on Pink Chalk Fabrics and I knew what I wanted to make right away. The special thing about this fabric is that most of the drawings in it are from a very famous painter in El Salvador, his name is Fernando Llort. I love how the Salvadorean art flows in this fabric, and makes me feel so happy and proud of our local artist there.
La segunda blusa la hice de la tela de Alexander Henry “Zócalo” Vi esta tela en Pink Chalk y la compré alli también, yo sabía lo que quería hacer casi al no mas verla. Lo especial de esta tela es que la mayoría de los dibujos en ella son de un pintor famoso en El Salvador, su nombre es Fernando Llort. Me encanta como el arte Salvadoreño fluye en esta tela, y me hace tan feliz y orgullosa de nuestros artistas locales.
The first dress (green) is made out of an organic knit that I bought at The Greewood Quiltery. It turned out so nice and easy to make. The second dress I love soo much, it is a Joel Dewberry fabric from his Heirloom Collection, this designer has such nice fabrics and I got this one at Alewives online store very nice place to buy stuff and good prices.
El primer vestido (verde) lo hice de un Knit orgánico que compré en Greenwood Quiltery. Me salió tan bien y fácil de hacer. El segundo vestido me encanta tanto, la tela es de Joel Dewberry y su colección Heirloom, este diseñador tiene tantas telas bonitas y esta la compré en Alewives una tienda en linea y muy buenos precios y telas.
Some linen pants I made for Gaby with a wide leg cut, very nice! The second one is a nice outfit made with an Oliver + S City Weekend fabric. This one I did it for the sew along on Elsie Marley.
Unos pantalones de lino para Gaby con pierna ancha, muy lindos! El segundo lo hice con las telas de Oliver + S City Weekend. Este lo hice para el SewAlong en Elsie Marley.
The first top was made out of Amy Butler’s Dancing Paisleys Limestone Voile. I bought it at the Greenwood Quiltery. The pattern is from this book. Secong top, Joel Dewberry “Heirloom” Collection in Voile, I got this one at Alewives and matches with Gaby’s dress. Third one is a Shot Cotton from Kaffe Fassett and is from this book I only made the sleeves shorter but I like them long better!
Last but not least, some images of how we end up looking at the end of the day. Gaby always waits for papa to come back from work and give him the biggest hug and many kisses, she says he’s her best friend, I think she’s right and it will be like this for the rest of their lives. Basti is looking dirty, messy and quite happy eating some watermelon before bath time and then bed! Once again I have written this post and hopefully when I press the Publish button it works! De último, unas imágenes de como nosotros terminamos nuestro día. Gaby siempre espera por su papá cuando regresa del trabajo y le da los abrazos más grandes y muchos besos, ella dice que su papá es su mejor amigo, yo creo que ella tiene razón y que esto será así por el resto de sus vidas. Basti se ve todo sucio, desordenado y parece que esta muy feliz disfrutando de su sandía antes de su baño y luego a la cama. Creo que yo costurera hubiera sido porque me encanta, o cocinera alla por el Hula Hula me gusta comer y cocinar rico, o fotógrafa porque también disfruto captando los mejores momentos de mis hijos, amigos y lugares que visitamos. Estoy feliz haciendo lo que hago y es para mi un lujo y mas aun un privilegio poder estar en casa y ver como crecen ls chicos!! No me aguanto por verte cara de ostión ! I love all of these sewing projects, but the dress at the top is really wonderful. Nice job on the zipper:)
I have another post almost ready to publish but it was all erased and gone, it took me an hour to write, between baby naps, lunch to make, dishes to clean…and then all that work gone! So I have to find another moment to write it all over again!! Thanks for the comment Emma, I am surprised how that zipper turned out so good, it was my first time putting a zipper on a dress, I have done before on small bags or coin purses, but clothing is another thing!! Best to you and I will make sure to stop by your blog any moment! Besos!
Sometimes I wish I had a girl because I am in love with those dresses and the linen pants. My boys would ruin those in the blink of an eye!
